The Problem

Our Solution

After assessing the property and understanding the client’s goals, Safeguard implemented a

phased security plan tailored to stabilize the site and support long-term occupancy.

Phase 1: Immediate Stabilization

A full-time armed security officer was deployed for the first month to establish control, deter unauthorized activity, and secure the property during its most vulnerable period.

Phase 2: Ongoing Presence

Once conditions improved, coverage transitioned to a full-time unarmed security officer for the following two months to maintain visibility and prevent re-encampment.

Phase 3: Long-Term Maintenance

After the initial three months, services were adjusted to:

  • One unarmed security officer during business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Two nightly patrols to deter break-ins and unauthorized access

This approach allowed the client to maintain security while managing long-term costs effectively.

The Results

  • Unauthorized encampment activity was fully eliminated
  • Tenants reported increased confidence and safety
  • Building occupancy increased from 70% to 95% within three months
